Cusco Rainbow Mountain 1 day

Expectations and what we see:
Enjoy the views of the Andes, snowcapped mountains, rivers, lakes, native people and shepherds of llamas and alpacas.
Walk and reach breathtaking altitudes at around 5000m to see Vinicunca, the 7 Color Rainbow Mountain, .
Itinerary:
4:30 am Pick up from hotel.
5:00 am. Tour starts with a 3 1/2 hrs of a ride southeast going through different towns
and Andean communities like Urcos, Pitumarca, Hanchillpata y Quesiuno.
8:30 am. Arrival in Hanchillpata and after breakfast ride to Quesiuno, start walking and
hiking (15 minutes away from Quesiuno : optional ride on horseback at an extra cost)
Along the hike see the sacred Ausangate and Puca Puncho mountains.
11:30 am After a strenous 2 1/2 hrs a walk, reach Vinicunca (Rainbow mountain–Red Mountain) Time to enjoy and contemplate the landscape and colors of the mountain.
12:00 m. Walk back to Quesiuno for 2 1/2 hrs (less harder as you go down most of the route)
2:30 pm Lunch in Hanchillpata.
3:30 pm Start return back to Cusco where we will arrive at 7:00 pm aprox.

The altitude (highest point is at 5200m. - 16500ft)
Severe weather conditions.
Needs good physical conditions to walk 9 Km (4.5 Km one way),
Optional: rent a horse ( US$ 10 - 30 dollars according to the distance)
