Dear traveler,

Thank you very much for your choosing us. The standards of services and products in Peru sometimes differs to that in your country. We strongly suggest you read the following carefully:

Travel in Peru:

Max Group operates in regions where standards of accommodation, transport and services might not be those you would normally expect. However we strive, with all due care and skill, to provide the best services for our travelers. Traveling in Peru requires to have a possitive attitude, flexibility, patience, broad-mindedness, good humor and understanding because changes may happen without notice due to circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure – see below) By booking any of our tours you agree to Max Group making necessary changes without liability.

Force Majeure:

This is any event that Max Group could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. This covers events such as war or threat, riot, civil strikes, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, disease, disaster or adverse weather conditions, fire or all similar events beyond our control. In this case, Max Group doest not accept liability and reserves the right to change, postpone, or even cancel the trip (this is last option of course).

Travel Insurance:

We as an agency strongly advise you to get travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses and emergency repatriation, including rescue and air ambulance. We also recommend that it covers cancellations and loss of luggage. Please forward a copy/policy number to our offices.

Age, Fitness and Participation:

All Passengers are expected to satisfy themselves prior to booking that they are fit and able to complete the itinerary of their choice. No unaccompanied minors (those under 18 years of age) can be accepted on tours operated by ourselves, however older teenagers may be considered provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who accepts full responsibility for them. We reserve the absolute right to decline a booking at our discretion. If, in the opinion of such person, the health, behavior or conduct of a passenger before or after departure appears likely to endanger the safety, comfort or pleasant progress of a tour, the passenger may be excluded from all or part of the tour. In case of illness we will make such arrangements as it deems fit and recover the costs thereof from the passenger.

Illness or Disability:

Anyone suffering from illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking and make arrangements for the provision of any medication and/or other treatment which may be required during the tour. Failure to make such disclosure will constitute a breach of these booking conditions and result in such persons being excluded from the tour in which case all monies paid will be forfeited.

Student Rate:

In order to obtain this discount you must have a valid ISIC card. It is important you scan and e-mail this to us at the time of booking and that it is valid on the date you are booked (you will need to show the real ISIC card upon your arrival here in Cusco and in Machu Picchu).

Sending Your Personal Details for Booking:

Your passport number must be a valid one. Please advise us if you have or will change your passport after booking the tour  ISIC card (if applicable) must also be valid at the time of commencing your tours

Holiday or Election Increments:

An increment of USD35:00 per person is applicable for all tours  leaving during these holidays: Christmas (Dec 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th) New Year (Dec 29th, 30th, 31st, Jan 1st).

Making a Reservation (Deposit):

To make a reservation of a tour package you must deposit  50% of the price at least 30 days before tour starts and the balance of total price of tour 15 days before tour starts.

How to Make a Deposit:

Note: All transaction fees are covered by the client and are not included in our tour prices.


You can directly transfer funds from your own banking account to our banking account. We include banking fees on our side into all full itineraries – the client is responsible for covering their bank charges to send funds.

Duration of Time to Receive Transfer: 1 – 3 days dependent on where you are sending from.

(2) Western Union Money Transfer Company

Another way to do your payment from abroad and avoid high bank charges or taxes is using WESTERN UNION, a global transfer service that has a large network of offices around the world. You can transfer funds online at Western Union’s website We will send you details of what information to use upon your confirmation of the tour.

Duration of Time to Receive Transfer: Almost instantaneous.

If you use this method the system (VISA) will automatically add their 6% transaction fee to deposit total.

Duration of Time to Receive Transfer: 2 – 3 days.

Duration of Time to Receive Transfer: 4 – 6 days.

Payment of Final Balance:

We require you to pay your final balance in our offices at least 15 days prior to tour departure (please advise if you have any delays on arrival).

Max Group Tour Operator reserves the right to increase the tour cost to take into account the following items: government action, currency fluctuations, transportation costs (including the cost of fuel), food increases, airport charges and increase in scheduled air fares or any other increase that is beyond our control.

About the Briefing:

Before your tour there will be a welcome briefing in your hotel at a time that will be confirmed and adjusted  according to your arrival time  (email us ).


In the event of a cancellation of a tour, we need to be informed in writing and please note that some deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. The Institutes that manage entrance fees to the sites does not give tour operators any refund, therefore we are unable to refund the deposits. Cancellation charges will be applied as shown below calculated from the day we receive written notification. In addition to the charges shown below cancellation charges apply to certain hotels, ie. No refund.

In the event of partial cancellations, the remaining passenger may have to pay any remaining charges (e.g. single room supplements or double-occupancy).
